Man Assembling Model T, circa 1950s100 years of the Model T!
The man in this photo seems to be assembling a Ford Model T from a kit. The photo is not dated, but probably dates from about the 1950s. By then, the Ford Motor Company had long ceased to produce Model Ts. The car continued to attract aficionados, however, as indeed it does today - 100 years after its creation!

Are you between the ages of 9 and 19? Here's a chance to celebrate Michigan Week by taking a photo of your favorite Michigan historic site! The contest is coordinated by Michigan State University Extension's 4-H Youth Development, the Michigan Department of History, Arts and Libraries and Michigan History for Kids magazine, with additional financial support from the Michigan Barn Preservation Network. The deadline for photo submission is Feb. 15, 2009.
