The Michigan Department of Community Health Oral Health program is primarily looking to promote community water fluoridation by offering to reimburse communities currently not fluoridating for fluoridation equipment purchases for the sole purpose to initiate community water fluoridation in their community.

Through the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Intervention Section (HAPIS), Division of Health, Wellness and Disease Control (DHWDC) the Department is issuing this RFP to support a portfolio of prevention services that will (1) address health disparities that exist among racial/ethnic and sexual minorities, and (2) have the greatest impact on reducing HIV transmission in the State of Michigan. This will be accomplished by awarding funds to programs that implement highly targeted, evidence-based and culturally competent interventions.

• SMILE Michigan: School-Based/School Linked Dental Sealant Program 
The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH), Oral Health Program is offering a grant for public and non-profit eligible organizations, community dental clinics, FQHCs, public health clinics, schools, schools of dentistry and dental hygiene, dental hygienist and dental assistant associations to support the development and/or expansion of sustainable school-based/school-linked dental sealant programs to improve the oral health of Michigan children through the application of dental sealants on fully erupted permanent first and second molars in a school-based/school-linked dental sealant program.
