24EPA chief reconsidering ship ballast permit
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - The Obama administration will reconsider a federal permit for oceangoing ships that critics say fails to prevent invasive species from entering the Great Lakes, the new chief of the Environmental Protection Agency said Tuesday.
23MDOT offers civil engineering internships and scholarships
February 23, 2009 -- High school seniors graduating in 2009 can now apply for paid summer internship positions with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). Upon completion of the seven-week program, students will receive a $2,500 scholarship to one of the seven participating civil engineering colleges or universities of their choice.
