| • Boiler Operator and Stationary Engineer Registration The deadline for registration without examination was June 11, 2009. We are currently working to complete the administrative rules and application for examination. We anticipate this task will be completed by year end and will be ready to accept application for examination.
Review of applications that were submitted prior to June 11, 2009, is nearing completion and those applicants can expect to receive correspondence from the boiler division by the end of September. Applications that were received after the deadline of June 11, have been sent a letter of regret and notification that their application fee will be refunded.
If your application was reviewed and found acceptable your name will be presented to the Michigan Board of Boiler Rules for formal approval to issue your registration. The board will be reviewing approximately 700 applicants at a meeting on September 15, 2009. Those applications that were received prior to June 11, 2009, but not reviewed before August 14, 2009, and were found acceptable will be presented to the board at a meeting on December 8, 2009.
The staff of the Boiler Division would like to extend a thank you to all for your patience in this endeavor.
