DEQ Spotlight DEQ Goes Green in Bay City

DEQ Goes "Green" in Bay City PDF icon

A recent groundbreaking ceremony in Bay City began the process of creating Michigan's first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum level government building. The environmentally friendly design will substantially cut operating costs and protect Michigan's resources by producing an estimated 20 percent of the building's energy needs on-site using a unique combination of solar and wind power along with utilizing a host of other energy efficient ideas.
